Fort Bragg, N.C : Soldier from Livingston County Dies Following Crash at Fort Bragg on Sunday, November 23, 2014

An 82nd Airborne Division soldier died Sunday after a single-car crash, the division announced Tuesday morning. Killed was Spc. Nethaniel H. Wolfson, 22, of Geneseo, New York, a news release says. The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of McCormick Bridge and Johnson Farm roads, according to Ben Abel, Fort Bragg spokesman. No other details were released Tuesday night. The crash is under investigation by the Army's Criminal Investigation Command and the military police, said Master Sgt. Teresa Coble of the 82nd Airborne Division. Wolfson entered active duty service in April 2013 as a signal systems support specialist, the news release says. He attended basic combat training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and advanced individual training at Fort Gordon, Georgia. He was assigned to the 122nd Aviation Support Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, in November 2013. "Spc. Wolfson was an incredibly active and jovial paratrooper who was well-liked and admired by everyone in his unit," said Capt. Isaac J. Gregory, Wolfson's commander.
