ROCHESTER, NH : Woman seriously injured in Sunday morning crash on Sunday, October, 15th 2017
Police are not releasing the names of an adult male and his passengers, one of whom was transported to the hospital with serious injuries as the result of a late-morning crash Sunday at the intersection of Washington Street and Chesley Hill Road.
Rochester police and fire personnel along with Frisbie Memorial Hosptial EMS responded to the scene at 10:59 a.m.
According to police, a preliminary investigation found that a 2007 Toyota Yaris, driven by an adult male was stopped on Washington Street, facing westbound, waiting to turn onto Chesley Hill Road when it was struck from behind by a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Robert Alexander, 76, of Rochester. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Alexander was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured.
The operator of the Yaris was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for apparent non-life threatening injury, said police. A young child in the rear of the Yaris was belted in a child seat and was also transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for apparent non-life threatening injury. An adult female passenger was in the rear of the Yaris, not wearing a seatbelt, and was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for apparent serious injuries.
