Casco , ME ; 70-year-old woman and her husband were Killed and another Person was injured after She crashed head-on into a Chevrolet Equinox on wednesday , january 14th 2015

Authorities say a Maine woman and her husband are dead and another person has been injured in a head-on collision in Casco.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office reports the crash occurred just before 2 p.m. Wednesday on Route 302 by Watkins Flats.

They say 70-year-old Carol Honaberger of Bridgton was killed when the 2000 Dodge Caravan she was driving crashed head-on into a Chevrolet Equinox driven by 66-year-old Allen Estes of Standish.

Honaberger's 81-year-old husband, Dale Honaberger, was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries Wednesday evening. Estes suffered broken bones and other non-life threatening injuries, sheriffs said.

The Honabergers' therapy dog suffered broken legs and was taken to a local veterinarian for treatment.
