Boulder, CO : Two people die in single vehicle crash on Forest Service Road in Boulder County on Sunday, June 12, 2016
Two people died and a third person was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash around 2:40 a.m. today on a U.S. Forest Service Road in Boulder County, according to the Colorado State Patrol Trooper Tim Sutherland.
Sutherland said the driver of a 1955 Dodge truck was headed west on U.S. Forest Service Road 456A, went over a mound of dirt, lost a tire and crashed. The driver and two passengers were ejected.
The person who was seriously injured was taken to Boulder Community Hospital, Sutherland said.
No other information was available on the victims. The Boulder County Coroner's Office will release the names of the two people who died once next of kin have been notified.
Sutherland said the crash is still under investigation, but alcohol and drugs are suspected as factors.
