Selah, WA : Man injured in I-82 crash on the bridge over the Yakima River on Monday evening, November 14, 2016
A Selah man was injured when he lost control of his car and struck a jersey barrier on Interstate 82 Monday evening, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. near the Rest Haven Road exit on the bridge over the Yakima River, according to a news release from the patrol.
Troopers said Joseph J. Glaspey, 23, was driving a 2002 Subaru Impreza west on I-82 when he struck the jersey barrier separating eastbound and westbound lanes.
Glaspey was treated and released from Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.
He was issued a citation for negligent driving, the patrol said.
Glaspey was wearing his seat belt, and intoxicants are not believed to be a factor in the crash, according to the patrol.
