Findlay, OH : Injury crash reported on Saturday, December 17th 2016
A Findlay mother and daughter were injured in separate accidents stemming from Saturday evening’s icy roads, the Findlay Police Department reported.
Tenna Savage, 21, was driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am north on North Blanchard at Vincent Street when she lost control, went over the curb and back onto the road around 8:12 p.m., police said.
She was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco Ambulance for possible injuries, and cited for operation without reasonable control, police said.
At 8:41 p.m., her mother, Diana Savage, 42, was heading to the hospital to see her daughter when she crashed at the intersection of Crystal and Oak avenues, police said.
She was driving a Lincoln Town Car south on Crystal when a northbound Chevy van went left of center because of the ice, police said.
Savage attempted to avoid the van, but the front of her car struck the van’s front, and her car also grazed a black Dodge Charger after the collision, police said.
The Chevy and Lincoln both went off the road, police said.
Diana Savage was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with suspected head or neck injuries. The driver of the van, Chashauna James, 33, of Findlay, and the Charger’s driver, Ebony Buchanan, 33, of Chicago, were not injured, police said.
The Dodge Charger’s damage was minimal and it was driven from the scene, and the other vehicles were towed, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
