San Mateo County, CA : 28-yearold San Jose man killed in car crash San Mateo County on Sunday January 10 2016.

A 28-year-old San Jose man was killed Sunday night when he crashed his Porsche into a tree in a rural area of San Mateo County in an incident that also left a passenger in critical condition at a local hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP identified Hau Nguyen as the driver who was pronounced dead at the crash scene on Skyline Boulevard, where his Porsche hit a tree near Harkins Road at about 9:40 p.m.
Nguyen's passenger, a 25-year-old Millbrae man, suffered major injuries in the crash and was flown to Stanford Hospital for treatment. CHP officials on Monday identified the passenger as Andre Brutus.
CHP investigators have not determined why Nguyen lost control of the 2016 Porsche as he was driving north on Skyline, also known as Highway 35, but he crossed into the southbound lane, left the road and smashed the driver's side door into a tree, CHP officials said.
The car hit the tree so hard it rotated around it, according to the CHP.
