Salt Lake City, UT : 21-year-old in critical condition after wrong-way driver crash on I-80 early Sunday morning, December 20, 2015
A 21-year-old man was critically injured after colliding with a driver going the wrong way on a Salt Lake City freeway.
The collision happened early Sunday morning on I-80.
The Utah Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Eliza Vanorman is accused of driving westbound in the eastbound lanes before crashing head-on into a Dodge Van.
UHP officials say the driver of the Dodge, 21-year-old Christopher Sideris, was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Sideris was not wearing a seat belt.
Vanorman was hospitalized in fair condition. She has since been arrested for driving under the influence.
It was not immediately known if she had an attorney.
