Newport News, VA : Police searching for witnesses to fatal crash in Suffolk on February, Sunday 25th 2018
Police are searching for witnesses to a crash that killed a 29-year-old woman in Suffolk on Sunday, an official said.
The single-vehicle crash happened about 4 p.m. in the 5000 block of Holland Road/Route 58, city spokeswoman Diana L. Klink said in a news release.
Investigators believe the vehicle overturned, and the driver, identified as Sheaquan Jemel Darden, of Suffolk, was ejected. She died at the scene, Klink said.
A passenger was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Police later said her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, according to Klink.
