Dunkerton, IA : 21-year-old woman died in a two-vehicle crash on East Dunkerton Road early Wednesday, December 2, 2015

Authorities say a 21-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in eastern Iowa.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that Alexis J. Behrends of Dunkerton died around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say the roads were almost entirely ice covered when the crash occurred. Behrends was driving on a county road west of Dunkerton when her vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with a vehicle driven by 48-year-old Darlene Hammond of Hudson.

Deputies say Behrends died at the scene. Hammond was not injured.
