An Indianapolis Fire Department official confirmed that one person is dead in a car crash that happened in Beech Grove.

Rescue crews responded around 8 a.m. Wednesday to the area of 2206 Main St. to the report of a personal injury crash with entrapment.

Witnesses say the driver of a red truck was headed west on Main Street at high speed when he hit a red Mustang at Ticen Ct. then hit a silver Hyundai head-on.

The driver of the truck was killed. The Hyundai driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the Mustang driver was not hurt.
