Gary, IN : Clarendon Hills woman dies in Hinsdale crash on Monday, 22nd August, 2016
55-year-old Clarendon Hills woman died Monday after the bicycle she was riding collided with a motor vehicle at Oak Street and Ravine Road in Hinsdale.
Pamela French was taken to Hinsdale Hospital by the Hinsdale Fire Department and later died as the result of injuries sustained in the crash, Hinsdale police said.
Hinsdale Police and Fire department units responded to the crash about 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Police said Tuesday that the investigation remained ongoing, and the Felony Investigative Assistance Team was called to the scene to conduct a traffic crash investigation. No citations had been issued as of Tuesday afternoon.
Clarendon Hills Village President Len Austin said he has been friends with French and her husband, Tim, for about six years. The couple has a daughter, Charlotte, 11, he said.
"She was a reall dedicated mother who was extremely in love with her daughter," Austin said. "Our daughters played soccer together, and she was always very, very supportive. She was a beautiful woman with an electric smile."
French worked as vice president, compensation and benefits, for the Boeing Company in Chicago.
