PEORIA, AZ : Crash leaves motorcyclist dead in Peoria on Friday, 23rd June 2023

A collision has left a motorcyclist dead on Friday night in Peoria.

Around 8:45 p.m., Peoria police were called to a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle on State Route 74 near Lake Plesant Parkway. Police say a person driving a Jeep was turning left onto North Lake Plesant Parkway to go south when the driver turned in front of a motorcyclist who was going eastbound. The motorcycle rider, identified as 64-year-old Daniel Crossett of Black Canyon City, died at the scene. The driver of the Jeep remained on the scene.

The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated the crash but reopened around 2 a.m. An investigation is ongoing, and police say the driver of the Jeep showed no signs of impairment. No arrests have been made.
