KERSHAW COUNTY, SC : Early morning crash in Kershaw County leaves one dead on Sunday, 9th June 2024

Authorities have released the name of an Elgin-area man who died in a crash early Sunday morning in Kershaw County.

Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 2 a.m. on Sunday on Veterans Row near Chestnut Road. Based on preliminary details, Ridgeway said that a 2014 Toyota pickup truck was traveling north on Veterans Row when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and hit a guard rail.
