Boston,MA : State police investigating Putnam hit-and-run crash on August, Wednesday 2nd 2017

State police are seeking a driver police say hit a Massachusetts man’s car in Putnam on July 28 and fled the scene.

At 4:05 p.m, police say Brian M. Smith, 56, of 71 Mower Street, Mass., was driving eastbound on Route 44 in a 2000 Ford Ranger and stopped for traffic at the intersection with the Interstate 395 Exit 47 northbound off ramp.

While he was stopped, police said he was rear-ended by a car exiting the northbound off ramp, which fled the accident scene. The vehicle is described as a brown/tan Toyota, police said in the accident report.

Smith was not injured, police said.

Police are investigating the crash.
