BRIDGEPORT, CT : Troopers uninjured after interstate crash on Thursday, September 14, 2017
State Police say no troopers were injured when two cruisers were involved in a crash as police tried to stop an SUV that was speeding down the median past heavy traffic on an interstate.
Local media reports one cruiser was pursuing the SUV on Interstate 95 in Bridgeport on Thursday when another trooper was able to get in front of the vehicle. Police say the SUV veered left and slammed into a concrete barrier, colliding with at least one of the cruisers.
Both police vehicles sustained damaged and had to be towed from the scene. The troopers declined medical attention.
