BILOXI, MS : Woman faces two charges after allegedly killing her boyfriend on July, Wednesday 5th 2017
Shots rang out around 8:00 a.m. on Parkers Creek Road in Biloxi. Police say the incident began at a home adjacent to Dunaway Signs.
"We did learn there was a dispute, and during the dispute, Angeline fired shots at the victim," said Lt. Chris Deback.
Angeline Olivia Brossett, 23, has been charged with manslaughter in the death of Jeremy Ryan Nilges of Gulfport, 28. Brossett was taken into custody at the scene.
Lt. Chris Deback said when they arrived, Nilges' body was in the middle of the road. The coroner said he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Those who work at Dunaway Signs didn't want to go on camera but said they heard the gunshots, and police arrived within minutes. Investigators combed the scene for hours.
"We're just gathering evidence, cleaning up the scene, and making sure we didn't overlook anything," said Deback.
Investigators did find a handgun at the scene that had been reported as stolen in the city of Biloxi in February of this year, which led to Brossett also being charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
