A 63-year-old Nebraska man died Friday in a motorcycle crash on S.D. Highway 44 near Farmingdale in Pennington County.

Robert D. Trisdale of Blair, Neb., was traveling east around 9:30 a.m. on a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle that veered into the westbound lane, left the road and came to rest in a pasture, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

Trisdale, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to a Rapid City Regional Hospital where he died of his injuries.

No further information is immediately available.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
