Sheboygan, WI : A 23-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed at Sheboygan County highway On Sunday, July 3rd, 2016

A 23-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed on a Sheboygan County highway early Sunday, according to a news release from the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office.

A van southbound on county Highway P just north of Highway A in the Town of Rhine struck the Sheboygan Falls man about 4:36 a.m. The van operator remained at the scene and called law enforcement, who pronounced the

pedestrian dead.

Alcohol and speed are not considered factors on behalf of the van operator, according to the sheriff's office. The pedestrian's identification was withheld pending notification of family.
