GASTONIA, NC : A dump truck crashed into power lines on April, Monday 17th 2017

A road was closed in Gaston County Monday after a dump truck crashed into power lines.

The wreck happened at 8:35 p.m. about 1,500 feet from the intersection of Union and Beaty Roads in Gastonia. Officials said Union Road was closed in both directions after the lines came down.

No injuries were reported.

There is no word on what may have led to the crash.
