Blue Springs, AL : Headland man dies in single-vehicle crash on Henry County 130 (Junior Williams Road) on Tuesday, June 28, 2016

A single-vehicle crash at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday claimed the life of a Headland man.

According to a statement from Alabama State Trooper Kevin Cook, Joel Rubin Cordell, 40, was killed when the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving left the roadway and overturned.

Cordell, who was not using a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene by Henry County Coroner Derek Wright.

The crash occurred on Henry County 130 (Junior Williams Road) approximately three miles northeast of Blue Springs. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
