Marshfield, MO : One killed in wreck near Marshfield on February, Tuesday 13th 2018

A single-vehicle crash on Route CC Tuesday afternoon resulted in the death of a Niangua teenager.

The wreck took place around 1:25 p.m., four miles north of Marshfield, involving a 2018 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Larry G. Moore, 41, Niangua.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the vehicle was headed north when it traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. Moore sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Passenger Dale G. Stafford, 19, Niangua, was airlifted to Cox South, where he was pronounced deceased around 4:30 p.m.

Neither man was wearing seat belts, the patrol said in the report, which also noted Moore was not tested for alcohol. The fatality marks the 16th for the year in MSHP’s Troop D.
