MADISON COUNTY, MO : 80-year-old Missouri man dies after crashing his jeep on Highway 72 four miles outside of Fredricktown on Saturday, 21st November, 2020

An 80-year-old man from Fredericktown is dead after crashing his jeep.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Friday at 7:50 a.m. on Highway 72 four miles outside of Fredricktown.

Troopers say Thomas R. Slinkard was driving eastbound in a 2003 Jeep Wrangler when the vehicle went off the left side of the road and hit an embankment.

Slinkard, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the jeep.

The Madison County Coroner pronounced him dead the scene.
