Savannah, GA : 2 drivers killed, teen injured in head-on crash west of Brunswick on Friday, February 24, 2017

Both drivers were killed and a teen injured when two vehicles collided head-on on a state highway west of Brunswick, an official said.

A pickup truck and an SUV collided about 8:30 p.m. on Georgia 32 west of the Sterling community, Glynn County assistant coroner Chris Stewart said. The man driving the truck and the woman driving the SUV both died at the scene, and a 13-year-old boy who was a passenger in the SUV was life-flighted to Memorial Health’s Savannah hospital, Stewart said.

Stewart said the victims were from Glynn County, but he declined to provide any identities because the next of kin had not been notified late Friday night. He said the crash occured a few miles west of U.S. 32’s intersection with Georgia 99.

Stewart said the Glynn County Police Department is investigating the crash. No additional information was available Friday night.
