Detroit, MI : Ambulance driver injured after the rig involved in a crash on Detroit's east side on Wednesday, Nov 18, 2015

An ambulance driver was taken to the hospital to be checked out Wednesday after the rig was
involved in a crash on Detroit's east side.

The crash happened at Alter Road and E. Warren Avenue -- and also involved a PT Cruiser.

Detroit EMS union president Joe Barney said the ambulance is not a city ambulance and is
owned by First Response.

It was not immediately known if the driver of the PT Cruiser was hurt.
