HOUSTON, TX : 3-year-old in critical condition after Uber driver chases pickup truck following hit-and-run on Sunday, 3rd March 2024

A hit-and-run crash involving an Uber driver left a 3-year-old child in critical condition Sunday night.

The crash took place around 8 p.m. in the 10270 block of the North Freeway near Deer Trail Drive and Gillespie.

Officials say that an Uber driver in a Toyota van was traveling with three passengers, a man, a woman, and their three-year-old child when they crashed with a Ford F-350.

“After the initial collision, the white truck fled the scene and the white van followed the truck,” Commander Michael Chaney said.
