Pearisburg, VA : 76 year old Mildred E. Bostic died in a two vehicle crash in Giles County on Monday morning, Nov 23, 2015

Virginia State Police are investigating a two vehicle crash in Giles County.

The crash occurred Monday morning at the intersection of Route 460 and Route 1308.

A 1998 Ford Contour was making a left turn from route 460 to Route 1308 when it pulled into the path of an oncoming car. On the oncoming car, a 1998 Ford Escort was unable to avoid the turning vehicle on its path and collided in the car lanes.

The driver of the Contour, 76 year old Mildred E. Bostic of Union, West, Virginia died after being transported to Giles Community Hospital.

The drive of the oncoming car, 61 year old Rex A. Gardner was not injured in the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
