Little Rock, AR : One person killed when his ATV stuck by four-wheeler at Arkansas 319 On Sunday, May 15th, 2016
One Arkansas man overturned his ATV and another was struck while riding a four-wheeler in separate deadly accidents that occurred hours apart Sunday, authorities said.
In Lonoke County, 89-year-old Bennie Tucker of Austin was backing a four-wheeler out of a driveway on Arkansas 319 when he was struck around 6:20 p.m. by a westbound Ford Explorer, Arkansas State Police said in a report.
The ATV and the SUV both slid into the eastbound lanes of the road, and Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lonoke County Coroner, the report said.
About two hours later, at 8:20 p.m., 31-year-old Joshua Dyas of Lockesburg was riding a Honda ATV south on Arkansas 329 in Sevier County when the vehicle flipped while turning onto Arkansas 24, according to state police.
Dyas was taken to the De Queen Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:45 p.m.
Police described the the roads at the scene of both accidents as clear and dry.
