Spearfish, SD : Man killed in single-vehicle crash Wednesday September 21 2016

One person died and another was injured in an single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning west of Spearfish.
A 2008 Ford F-150 pickup was southbound on McGuigan Road shortly after 1 a.m., when the driver, a 30-year-old male, lost control. The vehicle slid into the east ditch and rolled, according to the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
The driver, who was not identified, was ejected from the pickup, died as a result of his injuries. A 27-year-old female passenger suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Spearfish hospital. Neither were wearing seatbelts.
The South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other agencies on scene were the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Spearfish Police Department and the Spearfish Ambulance Service.
