Austin, TX : 3 teens who led troopers in car chase arrested in Fort Worth after crashing into tree on Wednesday, 14th September 2016
Three teenagers were arrested Wednesday in Fort Worth after they led police on a chase that ended when they crashed into a tree.
Texas Department of Public Safety highway patrol troopers tried to stop Mark Morales, an 18-year-old from Austin, who was driving a Honda Accord on U.S. Highway 287 in Rhome, Texas, about 11 p.m.
Morales refused to stop and tried to evade the officer. He fled south on 287 and entered Fort Worth. He lost control of his car near Loop 820 and crashed into a tree, according to CBS 11.
Authorities discovered the Honda Accord had recently been stolen out of Austin. Morales was arrested on charges of evading arrest, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, two drug charges, criminal mischief and reckless driving.
There were two other teenagers in the car with Morales, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old. They were both arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
