PHOENIX, AZ : Central Phoenix intersection closed due to deadly crash investigation on Wednesday, 6th March 2024

A major central Phoenix intersection has reopened after a collision left a woman dead early Wednesday.Just after 6 a.m., police responded to 12th Street and Campbell Road, between Camelback and Indian School. Officers arrived and found a woman seriously injured. She died at a hospital soon after.

Phoenix police believe the woman was lying in the roadway when she was hit by a car heading south on 12th Street. The driver remained on scene and investigators do not believe impairment is a factor.
