Moncks Corner, S.C : Couple killed in Berkeley County crash on Monday night, August 29, 2016

The Berkeley County Coroner has identified the two victims killed in a crash on Monday night in Berkeley County.
Sharlen Robinson, 48, of Pineville was driving on HIghway 45 near her home, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle traveled several hundred feet before striking a tree, according to the Coroner. Robinson, and her husband James Robin, 68, who was the only passenger in the car were both pronounced dead on the scene.
The two were pinned in the vehicle and were extricated by responding fire department crews, according to the Coroner.
The investigation show Mr. Robinson was wearing a seat belt, but Mrs. Robinson-who was driving-was not.
The deaths were ruled accidental and was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
