Ypsilanti, MI : How rollover crash happened in Meijer parking lot on Tuesday August 30, 2016
One driver's failure to yield caused a rollover crash in a Meijer parking lot, according to police.
The incident occurred about 3:30 p.m. Aug. 30 in the parking lot of the Meijer, 3145 Ann Arbor-Saline Road in Pittsfield Township, as a 31-year-old Milan woman drove from Starbucks across the parking lot, Pittsfield Township police Deputy Chief Gordy Schick said.
The woman pulled in front of a 20-year-old Troy man driving on a main road within the parking lot, Schick said. The 20-year-old had the right of way and struck the passenger rear side of the 31-year-old's Subaru, causing it to overturn.
