Decatur, MI : Child dies from injuries suffered in accident on farm on June, Wednesday 21th 2017

A child died from injuries he sustained when he fell from a piece of farming equipment.

The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 19000 block of Dewey Lake Street in Volinia Township, according to Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke.

Behnke said that deputies from the Cass County sheriff's office responded to a farm accident. Police say that the child was riding on the equipment and fell underneath the machinery. The equipment rolled partially onto him and caused serious injuries. The child was taken by ambulance to Borgess/Lee Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
