Sioux City, IA : One injured in crash caused by wrong-way driver on Nebraska Street Sunday afternoon, July 10, 2016
One person sustained minor injuries during a two-vehicle crash caused by a wrong-way driver on Nebraska Street Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at 2:15 p.m.
Sgt. Scott Hatting with the Sioux City Police Department said a truck had been traveling the wrong way in the west lane of Nebraska Street when the driver spotted vehicles heading his direction. The driver missed one car and attempted to veer onto 13th Street, during which time a passenger car ran into the truck's side as it was turning. The vehicles came to rest in the northeast corner of the intersection.
Hatting said the female driver of the car was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
