Three people from Payette were among seven individuals who were taken to area hospitals after a three-vehicle crash Thursday evening east of Payette.

Idaho State Police responded to the crash on Highway 52 at milepost 7.5, 4 miles east of Payette, at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Feb. according to a news release.

According to state police, Kristin Robinette, 35, of Payette, was traveling west on the highway in a 2009 Nissan Sentra, and Christopher Parks, 33, of Payette, was traveling east in a 1995 Ford Ranger. Shedrick Ofilas, 23, of Payette, was traveling behind Robinette in a 2011 Toyota Camry.

While making a left turn into a rest area, the car Robinette was driving hit Parks’ pickup. Parks and a passenger in Ofilas’ vehicle, Romulo De Vera, 62, also of California, were taken by LifeFlight to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Robinette, and her passenger Levi Robinette, 29, of Payette, were wearing their seatbelts; Parks was not; however state police say it is unknown whether occupants in the Toyota were wearing theirs.
