Warsaw, KY : 2 killed in head-on crash in northern Kentucky on Saturday afternoon, March 4, 2017

State Police say two people have died in a head-on collision in northern Kentucky.

Trooper Josh Lawson says in a news release says the accident occurred Saturday afternoon on U.S. Route 42 east of Warsaw in Gallatin County.

The statement says 20-year-old Kyle Allbecker of Cincinnati lost control of his eastbound vehicle, which went into the westbound lane and collided with an oncoming vehicle. Allbecker and a 16-year-old female passenger in his vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither were wearing seat belts. The passenger’s name wasn’t released.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital in Cincinnati, and a female passenger was treated at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
