Fallon, NV : Power outage in Churchill County caused by vehicle crash on Friday, August 29, 2014

A vehicle crash in Churchill County caused several power outages in the Fallon area on Friday. According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a single commercial vehicle hit into a power pole, causing the outage. The crash happened at State Route 117 and Power Line just before 3 p.m. on Friday. There are only minor injuries, but the roads are shut down. The NV Energy website said that over 7,000 people were without power in Churchill County. It has now been restored.
