Templeton, MA : Athol man identified as Templeton crash victim on Monday, 16th November, 2020

State Police have identified the Athol man killed in a one-car crash on Route 2 in Templeton Monday night as 36-year-old Jonathan Marsh. Marsh was the lone occupant of a 2013 Mazda 3 sedan that, for reasons still under investigation, veered off the left lane on the eastbound side of the highway and slammed into the abutment of the bridge carrying Otter River Road over Route 2. The accident, which happened around 10 p.m., shut down the eastbound side of the highway until about 2:30 Tuesday morning. State Police, assisted by Templeton Fire and Police and Phillipston Police, responded to the scene.
