Nampa, ID : One child killed, two others injured in crash in Canyon County on Thursday, March 30, 2017

A child was killed and two others were injured in a crash near the intersection of Homedale an Farmway roads in Canyon County.

The crash happened just before 10 p.m. Thursday, according to Idaho State Police.

ISP said Manuel Vera Gonzalez, 32, Boise was driving westbound on Homedale Road in a minivan, when he failed stop at stop sign at the intersection with Farmway Road.

Thomas Brase Jr., 56, of Caldwell, was driving northbound on Farmway Road in a pickup truck and collided with Vera Gonzalez’s van.A child in the van died at the scene, according to police, and two other juvenile passengers were taken to a hospital in Boise. ISP said it is unknown if they were wearing seat belts.

The crash is under investigation.
