Brentwood, CA : 2 Children, 2 Adults Injured in a car crash on Sunset Boulevard in Brentwood on Tuesday afternoon, April 7, 2015
Two adults and two children were injured in a crash that prompted the closure of Sunset Boulevard in Brentwood on Tuesday.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was called the scene — in the 13100 block of Sunset Boulevard (map) — about 3:45 p.m., according to the department’s Brian Humphrey.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision, which prompted initial reports that three victims were critically injured.
Humphrey said a red coupe and compact silver SUV were involved.
One of the vehicles crossed over the double yellow line, according Sgt. Frasor with Los Angeles Police Department’s, West Traffic Division.
The road was slick at the time of the crash and rain was believed to be a factor, Frasor said.
The collision site is near a sharp curve in the roadway, close to Pacific Palisades.
Sunset Boulevard was closed in both directions at Mandeville Canyon Road, Humphrey said.
