Pittsburgh,PA : Truck crash spills scrap metal, fuel in Derry Township on April, Wednesday 11th 2018

A truck carrying scrap metal overturned early Wednesday and lost its load on Rushwood Road in Derry Township, authorities said.

The crash happened at about 12:45 a.m. near the intersection of Rushwood and Route 22, said a Westmoreland County 911 supervisor. The driver was not injured.

Between the scattered scrap metal and some diesel fuel that had spilled from the overturned truck, Rushwood Road was closed several hours for cleanup. Traffic on Route 22 was not affected, the 911 supervisor said.
