Blooming Prairie, MN : Three injured in crash on Highway 218 north of Blooming Prairie early Monday morning on August 25, 2014

Three people were taken to the hospital following a crash on Highway 218 north of Blooming Prairie early Monday morning. Zachary Slowinski, 17, of Blooming Prairie, Princess Meeks, 28, of Byron and 36-year-old Shannon Irons of Dexter were all taken to a Mayo Clinic Hospital in Albert Lea with serious injuries following the crash that occurred at 5:25 a.m. The accident occurred between Blooming Prairie and the Blooming Prairie Country Club. According to the Minnesota State Patrol’s report, Slowinski’s 1994 Ford Ranger was disabled in the middle of Highway 218 when Meeks hit his truck while driving her 2003 Lincoln Town Car. Irons was a passenger in Meeks’ vehicle. The accident remains under investigation by the state patrol. Source : Three injured in crash north of Blooming Prairie
