Avondale,OH : Coroner names 8-year-old boy killed in crash on February, Monday 19th 2018

An 8-year-old boy struck by a car in Avondale on Monday night has died, police said.

The child was struck by a Toyota Camry just after 6:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Greenwood Avenue. The coroner's office identified the boy as Kacey Sanders of Springfield Township.

The driver, 36-year-old Monique Cooper, was not speeding or impaired, officials said.

Investigators said the child was not in a crosswalk and entered the road from between two parked cars.

The boy was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Police reported Thursday he succumbed to his injuries.
