Boise, ID : Ada County Sheriff's Office: no charges in Thursday's Bogus Basin Road crash on Thursday, 18th August, 2016
No evidence from an investigation of the crash pointed to drug or alcohol, reckless activity or other safety lapse serious enough to warrant a citation, Ada County Sheriff's spokesman Patrick Orr said Monday.
Orr said investigators were " not exactly sure what happened" in the moments before the crash, which was reported about 3:20 p.m. Thursday at milepost 3 on Bogus Basin Road. A pickup truck driven by a 60-year-old Boise man went over the edge and rolled approximately 200 feet down the embankment. A 49-year-old Nampa man was a passenger, Orr told the Statesman.
Deputies, firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and removed the driver and passenger from the smashed truck. They carried the men, who were conscious, to a lot where emergency service providers picked them up and took them to a local hospital. Their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
