Montgomery County, TX: 1 dead in 18-Wheeler crash on US 59 on Wednesday, July 22nd 2015
One person died in an 18-wheeler accident on U.S. Highway 59 Wednesday.At approximately 1:30 p.m., Montgomery County Hospital District received multiple reports of a motor vehicle incident involving an 18-wheeler and a passenger car on the southbound main lanes of U.S. Highway 59 just north of FM 1485.Multiple callers reported an entrapment since the car, which was completely under the 18-wheeler. Ambulances were initially dispatched along with the fire rescue. Units arrived on scene reporting one vehicle with heavy damage and a possible entrapment.Medics confirmed one occupant with injuries incompatible with life who was pronounced dead at 1:51 p.m.The vehicle involved in the accident has been described as a white Nissan Xterra. The vehicle was occupied by a driver and no passengers.The second vehicle, an 18-wheeler, had one driver and no passengers.According to the update provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver of Vehicle 1 (deceased) is a white female approximately 40 years old. Identification, nor notification to kin, have been made. The female truck driver was not injured during this crash.
