Yakima,WA : Granger woman dies after Lower Valley accident on October, Tuesday 3rd 2017

A 73-year-old Granger woman died early Tuesday of injuries suffered Sunday when the pickup she was riding in was struck by a driver that a police report says had been drinking.

Margarita Sarmiento died at Harborview Medial Center in Seattle, where she was taken after initial treatment at Yakima Regional Medical Center.

A Yakama National Tribal police report given to the Yakima Herald-Republic by Sarmiento’s family said she was a passenger in a GMC Sierra driven by her husband Jose Sarmiento, 73.
