BARTOW, FL : 1 dead after Polk crash involving 3 vehicles on State Road 60 near Bartow on Monday, 13th April, 2020

A 27-year-old Miami woman is dead after a crash involving three vehicles on State Road 60 near Bartow Monday night, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred east of Hadden Lane around 7:51 p.m., the sheriff’s office said in a news release Tuesday morning.Ashley Scurry, of Miami Beach, was driving a white 2002 Chevy Malibu in the westbound outside lane of S.R. 60 when a brown 1993 Toyota Camry driven by 43-year-old Tonya Rodriguez of Bartow exited Wingate Road, turning into the lane occupied by Scurry’s Malibu, PCSO spokesman Brian Bruchey said.
Scurry took evasive action and swerved into the inside lane, striking the rear passenger side of a blue 2002 Toyota Camry driven by 22-year-old Eric Williams of Auburndale, deputies said.
At that point, the two vehicles both left the roadway, overturning several times, Bruchey said.
Scurry was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from her car, he said. She was declared dead at the scene.
