2 motorists killed in snow-related Arkansas accident
Two passengers in a car traveling on sleet-slickened highway in Faulkner County died when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck an SUV head-on.
State police identified the dead as Cloe and Anastasia Meredith of Pangburn. Their ages weren't known. Four people were in the car that crossed the center-line were also injured, including the 24-year-old driver of the car.Sleet had collected on Arkansas Highway 36 prior to the accident, according to a state police report.
Roads in Arkansas, particularly in the northern and central parts of the state were being reported as slick and dangerous today.
In Oklahoma, the Highway Patrol said a 76-year-old Wisconsin woman died Tuesday. She was a passenger in a car that was hit head-on when a pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic on Interstate 44.
