Graves County, KY : Two people killed in a car crash on KY 97 just South of Tri-City on Thursday morning, February 4, 2016
Two people were killed in a car crash Thursday morning in Graves County, Kentucky after driving into a concrete bridge.
Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon reports that on Thursday at 3:35 a.m. deputies were dispatched to collision on KY 97 just South of Tri-City.
Deputies arrived and discovered that a 2008 Kia Rio had struck a concrete bridge, killing both occupants.
Deputies identified Katelyn Suggs, 19, of Metropolis, Il., as the driver and Andrew McManus, 26, of Paducah, as her passenger.
Both occupants were wearing their seat belts and both front airbags deployed.
Officials believe that the two were lost and trying to find their way back to Paducah.
Deputies do not believe that alcohol or drugs were a factor.
The Graves County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by members of the Mayfield Fire Department, Mayfield/Graves Co EMS, Cuba Fire Department, and the Graves County Coroner’s Office.
